2)Go holiday shopping.
3)Hang mistletoe over doorways
4)spend hours decorating an evergreen tree only to take it down and put it in storage.

I just love Christmas and I love hearing special memories that others had during Christmas. I will share one of my special memories….
My brother is in the USMC. The year that he graduated from boot camp was 2005. He graduated in August. He got to come back home for a couple of weeks then the USMC stationed him in North Carolina. They had already told him that he wouldn’t be coming home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Well, Thanksgiving came and went. It was really hard not having him home. So Christmas came. I was missing my brother so much and I just couldn’t get into the holiday spirit. I didn’t put a tree up or any decorations. Well, just a few days before Christmas Eve, we get this call from him saying that he gets to come home. My brother’s favorite thing is a Christmas tree and I knew I had to put one up. My husband and I hadn’t even got our tree out of storage, so I went to the store and bought this tiny tree…it looked just like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree…lol. But that was all I could find. I bought some ornaments and I decorated it. My brother come home and when he saw that tree he laughed so hard. I told him what I did and he was so touched that I decorated a tree just for him.

What’s The Best Way To Store A Christmas Tree And Ornaments?

So I went to put the tree up today and the box it was in fell apart. Are there places where I can buy plastic storage bins that are long enough to store the tree? (the box it was in was about 6′ long). Or is there a better way to store the tree so that it doesn’t get dust and spiders on it, but doesn’t take up massive amounts of space?
And what are the best ways to store ornaments? right now, they are in a plastic storage bin wrapped in paper towels (well, they were until I put them on the tree…but you get it).
Anyone know a better way?

Ok so I got a cat and we want to get a Christmas Tree this year but we used to have a palm tree ( don’t ask it’s prezerved! ) and he used to climb it so we had to put it in onother room that we use for storage, so we don’t know what to do about it! Does any one know if I should get a Christmas Tree and what to do about my cat becuase we’re worried he will climb it and it will fall down! I know Christmas is a long way off. My husband and I are thinking about selling our artificial tree at a yardsale or something simply because we don’t have the storage in our house for it. I want to get a real one next year (last year was my first fake one). Last year was also my kitten’s first Christmas… She spent the entire month of December sleeping on the branches and knocking ornaments off the tree. Would she be less likely to climb in a real tree? I was thinking maybe the smell would deter her… Or she’d get sap on her fur once and decide not to do it again. Thanks.
